Black garlic is the result of fermenting regular garlic at roughly 21 degrees for 3 weeks. The resulting flavour and texture are out of this world! Imagine the equivalent of caramelized onions but with garlic, and double the intensity of the flavour. Black garlic is creamy and can be used to enhance sauces, oils, stews, meats, dressings, fish, spreads or even on its own on toast! On top of that, black garlic is packed with antioxidants and has been shown to benefit the immune system, the liver, the heart, the brain, the gut and even fight diseases like cancer.
Sold by the head. We used large heads of Fish Lake garlic to make our black garlic.
